Fanatics Nebraska is a split story. Search for a sportsbook and the honest answer is no license, no app, no racino partnership — Fanatics Betting and Gaming has never struck a deal with any of the five Nebraska properties that run retail sports wagering. Search for Fanatics the merchandise company, though, and it has quietly been in Lincoln for years, selling Huskers gear out of its own stores.
Is Fanatics Legal in Nebraska?
Nebraska voters approved a 2020 constitutional amendment letting licensed racetracks add casino-style gaming, and the Legislature followed with the Nebraska Racetrack Gaming Act (LB 561) in 2021, which authorizes in-person sports wagering areas at those racinos only. Five are live today: WarHorse Lincoln, WarHorse Omaha, Grand Island Casino Resort, Harrah’s Columbus under Caesars, and Lake Mac Casino & Resort, which opened its Elite Sportsbook in August 2025. Fanatics holds none of those licenses. Online and mobile wagering are not authorized for any operator under current law, so there is nothing for a Fanatics app to be licensed under even if the company wanted in tomorrow.
Five racinos, zero Fanatics: WarHorse Lincoln, WarHorse Omaha, Grand Island Casino Resort, Harrah’s Columbus (Caesars), and Lake Mac Casino & Resort (Elite Sportsbook) are the only five retail sportsbooks in the state. Fanatics has a partnership with none of them.
The Other Fanatics Already in Nebraska
This is the part most "is Fanatics legal" searches miss. Fanatics the retail company has run brick-and-mortar Huskers merchandise stores in Lincoln under a long-standing licensing relationship with Nebraska Athletics, expanded further around 2017 to carry more branded gear. In April 2024, Fanatics joined Nebraska Athletics, Best of Big Red, and Lincoln Scheels on a "Nebraska Together" apparel line, with the athletic department waiving royalties so proceeds went to Red Cross tornado relief. None of that is a sportsbook, and none of it requires a gaming license — it is the same team-store business Fanatics runs with Oklahoma, Texas, and a long list of other universities.
Is Fanatics Legit in Nebraska?
As a company, yes. Fanatics Betting and Gaming runs a real, state-licensed sportsbook in 23 states plus Washington D.C., built on the $225 million PointsBet acquisition it closed in April 2024. Nebraska is not on that list for a structural reason — the state has no mobile wagering framework for anyone, and Fanatics has no retail casino deal the way Caesars does — not because anything is wrong with the operator.
Is It Safe to Bet With Fanatics in Nebraska?
There is nothing to evaluate for safety because no Fanatics sportsbook product is licensed in the state. Any site or app taking Nebraska sports wagers under the Fanatics name is not a sanctioned product and should be treated as a red flag, not a workaround. The Huskers retail stores are an unrelated, perfectly ordinary merchandise business.
What a November Vote Could Change
Two linked measures on the November 3, 2026 ballot would let each Nebraska racino partner with up to two online sportsbook operators. Caesars already has a relationship with Columbus Exposition and Racing that could carry over to mobile. Fanatics has no equivalent relationship anywhere in the state, so a win for the ballot measures would still leave Fanatics starting a partnership search from scratch — and the Racing and Gaming Commission has until June 1, 2027 to write the rules regardless of the vote.
Who It Fits
Right now, nobody looking for a Fanatics sportsbook bet in Nebraska — that product doesn’t exist here. Huskers fans wanting Fanatics-sold team gear can already shop that in Lincoln, a completely separate business. Betting, wherever it is legal, is entertainment spending, not income. 1-800-GAMBLER if it stops feeling that way.
