Ask which sportsbook pays a bigger welcome bonus and most comparison pages just print two dollar figures next to each other. Caesars vs FanDuel doesn’t work that way — the two brands structure their offers so differently that a straight dollar comparison misleads more than it informs. One hands out ten win-only profit-boost tokens up front; the other drips bonus bets out over a week. Both are state-licensed. Neither is free money.

Two Offers, Two Payout Triggers

Caesars’ current promotion asks for a single qualifying wager of at least $1, then issues ten 100% profit-boost tokens, each good for a bet between $1 and $25 at odds of -10,000 or longer, usable over the following two weeks. The tokens boost a winning bet’s payout — they do nothing if the bet loses. FanDuel’s offer works differently: a $5 qualifying wager unlocks up to $350 in bonus bets, released in $50 increments over seven consecutive days, which also pay out on wins only rather than refunding a loss. Both require a live account in a licensed state and both expire on a clock — Caesars’ tokens in two weeks, FanDuel’s bonus bets seven days after each is issued.

Footprint: Close, With FanDuel Slightly Ahead

FanDuel Sportsbook is live in 24 states plus Washington D.C. as of September 2026, most recently adding Arkansas on March 20, 2026. Caesars Sportsbook covers roughly two dozen jurisdictions plus D.C. — a looser count that shifts as more states license operators. The gap is a handful of states at most, and it moves every legislative session. Neither brand has cracked California, Texas, or Florida, and neither is close.

No fallback for dark states, from Caesars anyway. FanDuel’s original DFS product still runs in more states than its sportsbook, giving a California or Texas reader something legal to point to. Caesars has no comparable daily fantasy product — where the sportsbook isn’t licensed, Caesars simply has nothing to offer.

Casino: FanDuel Reaches Two Extra Markets

FanDuel Casino operates in Connecticut, Michigan, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, and West Virginia, plus Ontario, Canada. Caesars Palace Online Casino runs in New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Michigan, and West Virginia only — the same four-state core minus Connecticut, and with no Canadian presence at all. Readers in any of the other roughly twenty sportsbook states get neither brand’s casino product, regardless of which one they use to bet on sports.

Which One for Who

If only one of the two is licensed in your state, that settles it — the comparison doesn’t matter until both options actually exist where you live. Where both are live, lean FanDuel if the extra casino state, the Ontario reach, or Flutter’s larger global scale is the reassurance you want. Lean Caesars if a win-only profit boost fits your betting style better than a drip-fed bonus cascade, or if tying sportsbook play to Caesars Rewards toward a physical property actually matters to you. In a dark state, neither has anything to offer, and no welcome-bonus comparison changes that. If gambling stops being entertainment, call 1-800-GAMBLER.
