What you are actually comparing
Search "DraftKings vs PrizePicks" and half the results treat them as two sportsbooks. PrizePicks is not one. You are lining up a state-licensed book (DraftKings Sportsbook) against a pick’em DFS app (PrizePicks). DraftKings also runs DFS, which is closer to PrizePicks than the sportsbook is — and that DFS product is still not PrizePicks.

Where each one actually loads
DraftKings Sportsbook is the easier map: licensed or not. Arizona, Arkansas, Colorado, Connecticut, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Kentucky, Louisiana, Maine, Maryland, Massachusetts, Michigan, Missouri, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New York, North Carolina, Ohio, Oregon, Pennsylvania, Tennessee, Vermont, Virginia, West Virginia, Wyoming, plus Washington D.C. If your state is missing, there is no sportsbook to open. Geolocation is the access control.
PrizePicks publishes a wider story. Some product is marketed nationwide; paid Player Picks are not. California, Texas, and Florida — the three biggest DraftKings dark states — are exactly where people go looking for PrizePicks as a substitute. Sometimes the app lets them enter paid contests. Sometimes it is free-to-play only. That split is why this site has state pages instead of one national yes/no.
Which one for who
You live in New Jersey and you want the Cowboys first-half total: DraftKings Sportsbook. You live in Texas and you want to fade a rushing-yard line: PrizePicks, if paid Player Picks are on.
